Epilepsy is a central nervous system disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behavior, sensations, and sometimes loss of awareness. Seizure symptoms can vary widely.

People with epilepsy are more likely to have psychological problems, especially depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Any type of epileptic seizure could also potentially affect learning, memory, executive functions, etc.

Hence non pharmacological management and a healthy lifestyle  is equally important in managing the neuropsychological problems.
