Play Therapy

Play therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach primarily used to help children explore their lives and freely express repressed thoughts and emotions through play.

Each child goes through specific developmental milestones and play therapy responds to the unique developmental needs of young children, who often express themselves better through play activities than through verbal communication. It also accelerates delayed developmental processes in children.

Play therapy explores life events that may have an effect on current circumstances, in a manner and pace of the child’s choosing, primarily through play but also through language.
