Peer Pressure

Peer group plays a very important role in the development of personality. Establishment of bonds apart from family, and that too at an individual level helps in forming a social identity. Interaction in the group gives a scope to understand interpersonal dynamics.

The characteristics like understanding, expectations, participating, rejection, giving and taking all contribute in making the individual ready for the outside world.

The competition and rivalry brings into surface aggressive instincts in a more pronounced way. The way adolescents take peer pressure explains a lot about their personality and leadership qualities. The sooner that all the difficulties and struggles areĀ  acknowledged and rectified, the better it is for a healthy growth.
