Loneliness

Elder people go through an emotionally tough phase of social isolation. To a great extent it happens because of decreased functionality and retirement from work but at the same time neglecting by  family members hits them hard.

The difference in pace of life of the young generation and old people increases the gap and unavailability of emotional support. If there is no acknowledgment of the differences and changes in their roles it becomes even more difficult to deal with loneliness.

Weak emotional strength can become a causal factor of many other psychological and physical issues  Clinically it can be a serious issue as long term feelings of loneliness can result in Depression and other psychosomatic illnesses.
